The competitions of the AlUla Tour 2026, now in its sixth edition, continued today, Friday, with the fourth stage, which started from the Winter Park and finished at the AlSajiliyat Rocks, covering a distance of 184 kilometers, the longest stage of this year’s Tour.
The stage was organized by the Saudi Cycling Federation, in cooperation with ASO and the Royal Commission for AlUla, under the supervision of the Ministry of Sport, amid intense competition and significant physical and tactical challenges imposed by the unique desert and historical terrain, along with shifting wind conditions.
Italian rider Matteo Malucelli of XDS Astana claimed victory in the stage, asserting his control over the race, followed by fellow Italian Jonathan Milan of Lidl–Trek in second place, while Dutch rider Frits Besterbos of Team Picnic PostNL finished third.
In the overall standings after the fourth stage, Swiss rider Yannis Fawazerd of Tudor Pro Cycling continues to lead with a total time of 13 hours, 47 minutes, and 15 seconds, followed closely by Portugal’s Afonso Eulálio of Bahrain Victorious, four seconds behind, while Colombia’s Sergio Higuita of XDS Astana sits in third place.
Attention now turns to tomorrow, Saturday, for the fifth and final stage, which will start from AlUla Old Town and finish at the Harrat Uwayrid Viewpoint, covering 164 kilometers, in a decisive stage set to crown the champion of the sixth edition of the AlUla Tour.
