Construction of Aramco Stadium in Al Khobar is approaching its final stage, with most of the project’s exterior and interior features now completed and operational and technical testing underway ahead of its planned opening in November.

Located at the intersection of King Saud bin Abdulaziz Road and King Fahd Road, the stadium forms part of a development covering around 800,000 square meters and has a seating capacity of approximately 47,000 spectators.

The project also includes training grounds, parking facilities, sports tracks, landscaped areas, fan zones, retail outlets and other supporting services.

The stadium is set to become the main home ground of Al-Qadsiah Club, and has also been selected as one of the venues for the 2027 AFC Asian Cup, with facilities designed to meet international standards and equipped with integrated cooling systems.

The final phase includes testing security and safety systems, technology infrastructure, operational services, hospitality facilities and fan areas before full opening.

What stands out is that the project does not simply add a new stadium to Al Khobar; it adds an integrated sports and entertainment destination to the Eastern Province, at a time when Saudi stadiums are increasingly evolving from match venues into year-round platforms for sport, events and community life.
