The Local Organizing Committee for the AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027 has confirmed that preparations are continuing for the continental tournament, scheduled to take place from January 7 to February 5, 2027, emphasizing that organizational and operational work is progressing according to the approved timetable.

The committee stated that preparations are being carried out in coordination with the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and relevant authorities. These include preparing stadiums, sports facilities, supporting infrastructure, and associated services to provide a comprehensive experience for participating teams, spectators, and international media.

The announcement comes as the 19th edition of the tournament approaches. Saudi Arabia will host the competition for the first time in its history, with 24 national teams competing across three cities: Riyadh, Jeddah, and Al Khobar.

The AFC had previously announced that preparations were moving from the planning phase toward operational readiness, while the local organizing committee continues to oversee organizational requirements, logistics, and preparations for hosting the matches.

The committee reaffirmed its commitment to mobilizing the resources necessary for the tournament's success, taking into account developments related to the event and ensuring suitable conditions for participating teams and supporters.

The continuation of preparations according to the announced schedule reaffirms Saudi Arabia's commitment to hosting the tournament, one of the country's most prominent international sporting events scheduled for 2027.
