Saudi Arabia’s Citizen Account Program, the government’s monthly financial support program for Saudi citizens, deposited SAR 3 billion today for eligible beneficiaries for the month of September. More than 9.9 million beneficiaries and dependents met the eligibility criteria for the 106th payment cycle.
The program said 72% of beneficiaries received support in this round, with average assistance reaching SAR 1,470 per household.
Total payments made by the program since its launch have exceeded SAR 290 billion, including SAR 2.9 billion in compensation for previous payment cycles.
The number of heads of households benefiting from the current payment exceeded 2 million, while the number of dependents reached more than 7.5 million.
At a time when rising living costs are putting pressure on households across much of the global economy, these figures show that social protection in Saudi Arabia is not a marginal budget item, but part of the broader stability of society itself.
