Stage 10 of Dakar Rally Saudi Arabia : Bin Saeedan Returns to Second Overall, Al-Attiyah Seizes Car Category Lead

The Dakar Rally Saudi Arabia 2026 continued on Wednesday, January 14, with the completion of Stage 10, which started from the Marathon Camp and finished in Bisha, covering a total distance of 470 km, including 420 km of timed special stage, featuring technically demanding routes and varied terrain.

In the car category, French driver Mathieu Serradori of Century Racing Factory claimed the stage victory, crossing the finish line in 4 hours, 48 minutes, and 27 seconds, ahead of Qatari Nasser Al-Attiyah (Dacia Sandriders) by 6 minutes and 12 seconds, while Frenchman Sébastien Loeb finished third, 9 minutes and 20 seconds behind the leader.

In the overall car standings, Nasser Al-Attiyah regained the lead with a cumulative time of 41:39:50 hours, holding a 12-minute advantage over South African Henk Lategan (Toyota Gazoo Racing). Spain’s Nani Roma (Ford Racing) dropped to third place, 12 minutes and 50 seconds off the lead.

In the Stock car category, Defender Rally dominated the top three positions, as Lithuanian Rokas Baciuška secured his third consecutive stage win with a time of 6:09:01 hours, ahead of American Sara Price and Frenchman Stéphane Peterhansel.

The motorcycle category saw French rider Adrien Van Beveren (Honda Energy) take victory in 4:15:43 hours, followed by teammate Ricky Brabec of the United States, while Argentina’s Luciano Benavides (Red Bull KTM) finished third.

In the Lightweight Prototype “Challenger” category, Dutch driver Paul Spierings claimed first place with a time of 5:14:55 hours, while Saudi driver Yasir Bin Saeedan finished second, trailing by 2 minutes and 50 seconds, allowing him to return to second place overall.

Meanwhile, American Brock Heger topped the SSV category stage in 5:18:14 hours, while Czech driver Aleš Loprais claimed victory in the truck category with a time of 5:35:54 hours.

The rally continues on Thursday, January 15, 2026, with Stage 11, running from Bisha to Al-Henakiyah, over a total distance of 882 km, including 346 km of timed special stage.
