Alexander Bloks expressed his happiness after reaching the semi-finals, noting that slow serves put him under pressure, especially given his opponent’s strong returns, adding that Basavareddy’s physical fatigue helped him close out the match.
Bloks said:
“Tomorrow I’ll play against Dino Prizmic, who will enter the match with strong motivation to qualify, but I won’t give up a single point as I aim to finish the group stage with a perfect record.”
Croatian Dino Prizmic stated that his win restored his hopes of reaching the semi-finals, emphasizing that his focus is now fully on the upcoming match against Bloks. He added that the new scoring system contributed to the fast-paced rhythm of play, increasing competitiveness and requiring both mental and physical adaptation.
Norwegian Nikolai Budkov–Kjaer described reaching the semi-finals as a significant step in his career, stressing that his goal is to reach the final. He praised the strong fan attendance and noted that Saudi Arabia’s facilities are among the best, particularly the main court area.
