The third day of the WTA Finals in Riyadh continued on Monday, November 3, 2025, hosted for the second consecutive year in the indoor arena at King Saud University, organized by the Saudi Tennis Federation, under the supervision of the Ministry of Sports and sponsored by the Public Investment Fund.
The day featured intense and thrilling matchups, beginning with Kazakhstan’s Elena Rybakina defeating Poland’s Iga Świątek in three sets, while American Amanda Anisimova secured a valuable win against compatriot Madison Keys within the “Serena Williams” bracket.
Rybakina expressed satisfaction with her performance despite a slow start, noting that improving her serve rhythm and reaction timing helped her regain balance and confidence to seal the match.
In the “Martina Navratilova” doubles bracket, Taiwan’s Hsieh Su-Wei and Latvia’s Jelena Ostapenko claimed a straight-sets victory over Italy’s Jasmine Paolini and Sara Errani. Meanwhile, Russia’s Veronika Kudermetova and Belgium’s Elise Mertens defeated America’s Asia Muhammad and the Netherlands’ Demi Schuurs in three sets.
Ostapenko stated following the match that mutual trust between both players was the key factor in maintaining pressure and securing decisive moments, praising the atmosphere in the Kingdom and the exceptional support from Saudi fans.
On Tuesday, the excitement continues as defending champion Coco Gauff aims for victory against Italy’s Jasmine Paolini, while Belarus’ Aryna Sabalenka faces America’s Jessica Pegula within the “Steffi Graf” group.
Doubles action will also resume within the “Liezel Huber” group with decisive matchups between advancing pairs.
