A package of royal decrees was issued today, encompassing appointments and dismissals in a number of senior leadership positions across regions, ministries, judicial and security bodies, in addition to regulatory authorities and service sectors, as part of an ongoing reconfiguration of leadership roles in line with the requirements of the current phase.

Details of the Decrees

First: Regions and Governorships

Prince Saud bin Nahar bin Saud was relieved of his post as Governor of Taif.

Prince Saud bin Nahar bin Saud was appointed Deputy Governor of the Madinah Region at ministerial rank.

Prince Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz was appointed Deputy Governor of the Northern Borders Region at ministerial rank.

Prince Fawaz bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz was appointed Governor of Taif at ministerial rank.

Prince Fahd bin Saad bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki was relieved of his post as Governor of Diriyah.

Prince Rakan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz was appointed Governor of Diriyah at ministerial rank.

Prince Fahd bin Saad bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki was appointed Deputy Governor of the Al-Baha Region at ministerial rank.

 

Second: Investment and the Economy

Engineer Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih was relieved of his post as Minister of Investment.

He was appointed Minister of State and Member of the Council of Ministers.

Fahd bin Abduljalil bin Ali Al-Saif was appointed Minister of Investment.

Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al-Arifi was appointed Governor of the National Development Fund at ministerial rank.

 

Third: Tourism

Princess Haifa bint Mohammed bin Saud bin Khalid was relieved of her post as Deputy Minister of Tourism.

She was appointed Advisor at the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers at ministerial rank.

Abdulmohsen bin Mohammed bin Hamoud Al-Mazeed was appointed Deputy Minister of Tourism at ministerial rank.

 

Fourth: Justice, Prosecution, and the Board of Grievances

Sheikh Saud bin Abdullah bin Mubarak Al-Mujab was relieved of his post as Public Prosecutor.

He was appointed Advisor at the Royal Court with the rank of Minister.

Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed bin Nasser Al-Yousef was relieved of his post as President of the Board of Grievances.

Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed bin Nasser Al-Yousef was appointed Public Prosecutor with the rank of Minister.

Sheikh Dr. Ali bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Ahyedib was appointed President of the Board of Grievances with the rank of Minister.

Dr. Najm bin Abdullah Al-Zaid was relieved of his post as Deputy Minister of Justice and appointed Advisor at the Royal Court at ministerial rank.

 

Fifth: Interior and Security

Prince Dr. Bander bin Abdullah Al-Mishari was relieved of his post as Assistant Minister of Interior for Technology Affairs and appointed Advisor to the Minister of Interior at ministerial rank.

Mohammed bin Mahna Al-Mahna was relieved of his post as Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Security Affairs and appointed Assistant Minister of Interior for Operations at ministerial rank.

Engineer Thamer bin Mohammed bin Qalat Al-Harbi was appointed Assistant Minister of Interior for Technology Affairs at ministerial rank.

Abdullah bin Fahd bin Mohammed bin Faris was appointed Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Security Affairs at ministerial rank.

Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al-Essa was relieved of his post as Director General of the General Investigation Directorate at his own request due to health reasons.

Fayhan bin Fahd bin Ghazi Al-Sahli was appointed Director General of the General Investigation Directorate at ministerial rank.

Saad bin Saleh Al-Luhaidan was appointed Advisor at the Office of the President of State Security at ministerial rank.

 

Sixth: Media, Communications, and Transport

Dr. Abdullah bin Ahmed Al-Maghlouth was appointed Deputy Minister of Media at ministerial rank.

Engineer Haitham bin Abdulrahman Al-Ohaly was relieved of his post as Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technology and appointed Governor of the Communications, Space and Technology Commission at ministerial rank.

Engineer Fawaz bin Znaif Al-Sahli was appointed President of the Transport General Authority at ministerial rank.

 

Seventh: Shura Council

Prince Dr. Saad bin Saud bin Mohammed bin Abdulaziz was appointed a Member of the Shura Council.

 

Eighth: Military Promotions

Major General Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Dhuwaiybi was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General and appointed Deputy Head of the Royal Guard.

Major General Sulaiman bin Abdulaziz Al-Maiman was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General.
