Saudi Arabia is set to launch the joint air exercise “Spears of Victory 2026” on Sunday, conducted by the Royal Saudi Air Force at the Air Warfare Center in the Eastern Sector. The exercise involves branches of the Armed Forces, the Ministry of National Guard, the Presidency of State Security, the Unified Military Command of the Gulf Cooperation Council, in addition to military forces from brotherly and friendly countries.

“Spears of Victory 2026” is considered the largest air exercise of its kind in the region in terms of the number, type, and scale of participating forces, both domestically and internationally. The exercise aims to strengthen military relations among participating countries, exchange expertise in planning and execution, achieve the highest levels of operational integration and coordination, and unify and reinforce the concept of joint operations among participating entities.

The exercise also focuses on implementing and evaluating military tactics to address current and emerging threats, as well as assessing the level of joint operational readiness at the tactical level—contributing to enhanced operational efficiency in complex environments.

Scheduled to run from January 18 to February 5, the exercise includes simulations of diverse operational scenarios, encompassing mixed tactical operations, specialized academic lectures, and operational missions designed to raise the proficiency of air, technical, and support crews. It also evaluates modern military tactics, including electronic and cyber warfare, within a multi-domain operational environment.

The exercise is conducted at the Air Warfare Center in the Eastern Sector, one of the most advanced training centers in the region, distinguished by its sophisticated training environment that closely simulates real operational conditions. The center plays a key role in developing combat plans, assessing capabilities, testing systems and weapons, and measuring their effectiveness and efficiency.
