Saudi and UAE foreign ministers discuss efforts to contain escalation and stress the importance of aligning positions and strengthening bilateral consultation

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah received a phone call on Sunday evening from Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates.

According to a statement published by the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs on its official account on X, the call addressed the latest regional developments and ongoing efforts to contain escalation amid rapidly evolving conditions in the region.

The two sides also stressed the importance of aligning positions and strengthening consultation between the two countries in a manner that supports joint Gulf cooperation, safeguards the security of GCC states, and protects their resources and interests.
