King Abdullah Gardens… From Construction to Operation

His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Abdulaziz bin Ayyaf, Mayor of Riyadh, patronized the signing of two privatization agreements between Riyadh Municipality and Riyadh Holding Company for the operation, maintenance, and management of King Abdullah Global Gardens, in cooperation with the National Center for Privatization. The agreements come as part of preparations for the start of operations, enhancing facility readiness, and improving visitor experience.

Riyadh Municipality was represented at the signing by Deputy Mayor for Projects, Eng. Alwaleed bin Abdulrahman Al-Akrash, while Riyadh Holding Company was represented by its CEO, Eng. Asim bin Mohammed Al-Suhaibani. The step marks the transition of the project into the full operational phase as construction nears completion.

The agreements cover comprehensive management, operation, and maintenance of the gardens, including climate control systems, energy centers, water treatment and irrigation plants, as well as routine and specialized maintenance of the vegetation cover, in accordance with approved municipal and environmental standards, to ensure operational efficiency and sustainability.
