The Council of Ministers, chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister – may God protect him – approved, based on a submission by the Council of Economic and Development Affairs, the decision to abolish the financial levy imposed on expatriate labor employed in licensed industrial facilities holding an industrial license.

The decision comes as an extension of the continuous support and empowerment provided to the industrial sector by the Kingdom’s wise leadership, and within the framework of the Crown Prince’s keen interest – may God protect him – in empowering national factories, enhancing their sustainability, and strengthening their competitiveness at both regional and global levels.

The decision reflects a strategic orientation toward building a competitive and resilient industrial economy, recognizing the industrial sector as a key pillar of economic diversification, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, and contributing to the stimulation of industrial investment and the growth of the productive sector.
