Cabinet Session chaired by the Crown Prince reviews international cooperation and approves new strategic agreements

His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, chaired the Cabinet session held today in Riyadh.
At the outset, His Royal Highness briefed the Cabinet on the outcomes of his meeting with His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, and their discussions on strengthening bilateral cooperation across various fields.
The Cabinet reviewed the latest regional and international developments, reaffirming the Kingdom’s consistent stance in supporting efforts to promote peace and stability worldwide.
Acting Minister of Media Dr. Essam bin Saad bin Said stated that the Cabinet discussed the Kingdom’s continuous attention to Hajj, Umrah, and visitation affairs, commending the speech delivered by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques during the 5th Hajj and Umrah Conference and Exhibition, which reaffirmed the Kingdom’s ongoing commitment to serve pilgrims and improve their experience.
The Cabinet also praised the King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives (Darah) for organizing the first-ever Forum on the History of Hajj and the Two Holy Mosques, highlighting the Kingdom’s historical role in serving Islam and humanity.
The session noted the Kingdom’s leading global position, ranking first in the Eastern Mediterranean and North Africa with 16 WHO-certified healthy cities, reflecting Saudi Arabia’s commitment to placing human health at the center of sustainable development.
It further emphasized the significance of hosting the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games, with over 3,000 athletes from 57 countries, and acknowledged the success of the Biban 2025 Forum, which witnessed the signing of agreements exceeding 38 billion riyals to support entrepreneurship and small and medium enterprises.
The Cabinet welcomed the World Bank’s latest report recognizing Saudi Arabia’s progress in educational quality through evaluation and national programs led by the Education and Training Evaluation Commission.
The session approved a series of agreements and memoranda of understanding covering culture, education, energy, economy, water, justice, and health research.
It also endorsed the Geographical Indications Protection Law, the establishment of two marine reserves, and a number of high-level promotions across key ministries, including Energy, National Guard, Defense, Foreign Affairs, and Environment.
