🌿 Saudi Agriculture 2025 Concludes with 28 Agreements Worth Over SAR 3.5 Billion

The 42nd edition of the Saudi Agriculture Exhibition 2025 concluded today after a four-day run at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center, drawing 446 participants from 34 countries, including 11 official pavilions representing the plant, animal, and fish production sectors, organic foods, aquaculture, and advanced agricultural technologies.

The exhibition attracted more than 27,000 visitors, reaffirming its status as a key regional platform that connects agricultural leaders, investors, and experts from within the Kingdom and abroad.

During the event, 28 agreements and memoranda of understanding were signed, with a total value exceeding SAR 3.5 billion, between government entities and private-sector companies both local and international — a step that strengthens agricultural investment and expands international cooperation in sustainable farming.

His Excellency Eng. Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadhli, Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, inaugurated the Agricultural Innovation Center, a national platform designed to drive innovation and self-sufficiency through advanced technical and production solutions.

The exhibition also hosted the International Agriculture Future Summit, which brought together global experts and speakers to discuss pressing issues including food security, climate change, and digital transformation in agriculture. In parallel, a series of specialized international exhibitions took place, focusing on food processing and packaging, aquaculture, and food technologies — all aimed at enhancing agricultural and food supply chains.

The event featured the International Conference on the Future of Agriculture 2025, which included 20 key sessions and panel discussions covering topics such as food security, smart farming, sustainability, and biotechnology, showcasing leading international practices in agricultural development.

On the final day, sessions highlighted cutting-edge innovations contributing to Saudi Vision 2030 and national food security goals.
The program opened with a keynote speech titled:
🔹 “Climate Change and Rapid Population Growth: Agri-Tech and Food Security” — delivered by Kristiona Gedvilas, CEO of the European Chamber of Commerce in Saudi Arabia.

Subsequent sessions explored:
🔹 “Emerging Trends in Livestock Production and Processing”, focusing on artificial intelligence, precision feeding, and aquaculture in enhancing efficiency and sustainability.
🔹 “The Future of Milling and Feed”, emphasizing how digitalized supply chains and integrated climate and biotech data are transforming the feed industry.
🔹 “Food of the Future”, which examined the use of IoT, blockchain, and RFID in food processing and packaging to promote transparency and reduce waste — key pillars of sustainable food security.
