👗 Saudi Female Designers Shine with Creations Blending Heritage and Modernity

In a vivid display of Saudi women’s rising role in the fashion and creative industries, several designers participating under the “Saudi 100 Brands” program showcased innovative, sustainable designs that merge authenticity with modern aesthetics — confirming the global presence of Saudi women in fashion.

🌿 Vegan Leather from Date Waste

Designer Lamis Al-Fadhel, founder of Qitmeer, has developed an eco-friendly vegan leather made from discarded dates, officially registered as a Saudi intellectual property.
The project aims to transform over 260,000 tons of wasted dates annually into leather products for the fashion and accessories industries — reducing environmental impact from animal leather while infusing Arabian fragrances and identity into each creation.

🐎 “Daughters of the Wind” and “The White Treasure”… From Heritage to Global Runways

Saudi designer Nihad Al-Matrood, who studied fashion in France, presented standout creations such as “Daughters of the Wind” and “The White Treasure”, which debuted at the Saudi Cup horse racing championship.
Inspired by Saudi rock formations, the dress — valued at 14,666 SAR — features exquisite hand embroidery and premium materials, symbolizing the fusion of heritage and contemporary elegance while demonstrating the competitiveness of Saudi fashion brands globally.

💡 Derza: From IT to Fashion Innovation

After studying Information Technology, designer Modawi Al-Mansour founded her fashion label Derza in 2018 to highlight Saudi craftsmanship and local production.
She creatively incorporated Ajwa date stones into her designs as part of a recycling concept and participated in major fashion events, including the Saudi Cup.
Now a certified fashion trainer, Al-Mansour integrates artificial intelligence into fashion design and marketing, empowering Saudi women in the creative sector.

👜 Nouq: From Pharmacy to Design

Former pharmacist Noura bint Saeed made her entrepreneurial leap into design in 2019, launching her first collection featuring the iconic “Bisht Bag”, which became her brand signature.
Her label Nouq captures Saudi authenticity with a contemporary spirit, and she recently opened a boutique in AlUla, emphasizing that supporting national creative projects is the best investment in Saudi youth and innovation.

Saudi Lifestyle Week stands as the first international event uniting fashion, sportswear, and interior design under one roof, with participants from Italy, Spain, Portugal, Germany, and Turkey, alongside leading Saudi designers.
