Saudi Experiments in Space… From Idea to Orbit
BETH – Riyadh
The Saudi Space Agency announced the successful completion and safe return of ten student experiments from Saudi Arabia and several Arab countries, conducted aboard the International Space Station (ISS) as part of Mission AX-4.
The experiments included scientific research, artistic concepts, engineering models, and botanical studies, all carefully selected based on strict criteria: concept quality, feasibility in space environments, and potential to inspire scientific and creative advancement.
🎓 This groundbreaking initiative was launched in collaboration with the Saudi Space Agency and Mohammed bin Salman Foundation "Misk", represented by “Ilmi” Science and Innovation Center—a pioneering effort to connect Arab creativity with the future of space exploration.
The experiments were carried out by astronaut Peggy Whitson, under the direct supervision of Saudi astronaut Rayyanah Barnawi, with meticulous support from the Saudi Space Agency’s scientific teams.
