Prince Sultan bin Salman chairs the sixth meeting of the Board of Trustees of the National Aviation Academy
His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the National Aviation Academy, chaired by video call the sixth meeting of the Academy in the presence of the members of the Council.
At the beginning of the meeting, His Highness extended his thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud - may God protect him - for the support the aviation sector enjoys at all levels. His Highness also thanked the Board of Trustees for their efforts, support and follow-up of the Academy's work in order to achieve its future goals and enhance its position. To play its role in promoting the aviation sector, achieving localization of the aviation industry in the Kingdom, and creating appropriate job opportunities for the Kingdom's youth.
His Highness stressed the importance of the aviation industry, which is an economic tributary through which the Kingdom occupies its prestigious position, especially that the Kingdom was and still is the largest market in the region in this field, and there are great and promising opportunities that must be invested for the benefit of the homeland and the citizen.
During the meeting, the Director General of the Academy, Captain Muhammad Al-Subaie, reviewed the financial statements for the year 2020 AD, the business model and the strategies implemented to address the challenges of the changing business environment due to the Corona pandemic, and the most important achievements and goals achieved during the past period, as well as the prospects for future strategies and partnerships supported by expectations of the growth of the aviation sector in the near future. And in line with the Kingdom's vision 2030, which will help the Academy in achieving its future goals.
At the end of the meeting, the Board approved a number of possible decisions for the Academy to continue its work to achieve its goals.
The Economic and Financial Affairs Committee of the Arab Parliament discusses a number of items, foremost of which are obstacles to implementing Arab economic agreements and legislations, ways to address them and the developments of the Arab Customs Union, and preparation for a workshop on the challenges and obstacles facing the private sector in the Arab world, and the committee also reviews a presentation note on responses Contained on parliamentary questions addressed by the Economic and Financial Affairs Committee to a number of specialized Arab organizations. The committee is discussing a presentation memorandum on the guiding law for supporting and developing small, medium and micro enterprises in the Arab countries.
