The Royal Commission for Riyadh City announced the start of development works on seven bridges within the Othman Bin Affan Road and King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Road interchange project, as part of the third group of projects under the Circular and Main Roads Development Program in the capital.

The project comes within a comprehensive program launched by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Royal Commission for Riyadh City, aimed at developing more than 500 kilometers of Riyadh’s road network through new corridors, upgraded existing routes, and enhanced connectivity across the city.

Presentation

The program aims to strengthen Riyadh’s transportation system and position the capital as a leading hub for sustainable transport and logistics services in the Middle East.

It also represents one of the key pillars supporting the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 under the Quality of Life Program through:

  • improving traffic efficiency,
  • enhancing mobility flow,
  • reducing travel times,
  • and strengthening connectivity between neighborhoods and key urban corridors.

B Reading

What is happening in Riyadh today goes far beyond:
“road expansion.”

The city is moving toward:
a complete reshaping of urban mobility.

With the rapid population growth and the expansion of major projects, Riyadh appears to be building:
a network of life,
not merely a network of roads.

The strong focus on:
sustainability,
smart connectivity,
and traffic efficiency,
reflects a transformation in urban planning philosophy from:
temporary solutions,
to long-term infrastructure designed to accommodate the city’s future growth.

Within the broader picture,
Riyadh’s road projects no longer appear isolated from the Kingdom’s wider transformations,
but rather part of a larger vision aimed at building:
a more efficient city,
a higher quality of life,
and a globally competitive capital.
