The features of King Salman Park are beginning to emerge,
with the expansion of green spaces and the planting of one million trees,
in a project that is reshaping the urban landscape in the heart of Riyadh.

Overview

King Salman Park is witnessing rapid progress in its development works, as an interconnected network of green areas and open pathways gradually takes shape, within a project considered the largest of its kind among urban parks worldwide.

The park is located on the site of the former Riyadh airport and spans an area exceeding 16.6 square kilometers, making it upon completion:

  • About five times larger than Hyde Park in London
  • Four times larger than Central Park in New York
  • More than 13 times larger than Gardens by the Bay in Singapore

Its location in north-central Riyadh gives it a strategic advantage, as it is connected to an integrated transportation network, including Riyadh Metro stations, bus routes, and major roads, making it accessible from across the city.

The project is not limited to its environmental dimension, but also includes cultural, artistic, sports, and entertainment components, within a vision aimed at enhancing quality of life and creating an integrated urban environment.

The project should not be read as just a park,
but as a transformation in the concept of the city:

From scattered spaces; to an integrated system
From traditional use; to a comprehensive urban experience
From rigid structure; to a balance with nature

What stands out:

It is not only the scale…
but how it is integrated into the city

What is taking shape today in Riyadh
is not merely green coverage

but:

A new standard for cities designed for life
