The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources held a workshop to introduce industrial investment opportunities in major government projects, attended by Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Eng. Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef, with the participation of a number of industrial investors.

Overview

The workshop discussed ways to enable the industrial sector to benefit from opportunities related to major infrastructure projects, including the construction of stadiums for the 2034 FIFA World Cup, in a way that enhances the presence of national factories within supply chains and raises the level of local content.

It also reviewed multiple areas in which national factories can contribute, including construction materials, structural frameworks, interior fittings, electrical and technical systems, as well as environmental solutions, in addition to products and services linked to supply chains.

The workshop further addressed mechanisms to enhance the readiness of local factories and qualify them to meet technical requirements and approved standards, supporting the expansion of their participation in current and future projects, strengthening the competitiveness of the industrial sector, and contributing to achieving a sustainable economic impact within the Kingdom.

B Analysis

The workshop should not be read merely as an introductory meeting,
but as a signal of a shift in the way major projects are executed.

The World Cup here is not only a sporting event,
but an industrial and economic platform.

The message is clear:
Projects are being built… and the economy is being manufactured alongside them.

Raising local content is no longer a theoretical goal,
but a practical condition for measuring impact.

B Conclusion

This step reflects a transition in major projects
from traditional execution…
to building an integrated production ecosystem within the Kingdom.
