221 Industrial Licenses and 112 Factories Begin Production in Saudi Arabia

The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources issued 221 new industrial licenses during February 2026, while 112 new factories commenced production during the same period, according to a report by the National Industrial and Mining Information Center affiliated with the Ministry. This development reflects the continued momentum of the industrial sector in the Kingdom.
Overview
The report, which monitors industrial indicators on a monthly basis, indicated that the volume of investments associated with the new licenses exceeded SAR 2.60 billion. These projects are expected to generate more than 1,995 job opportunities across various regions of the Kingdom.
In contrast, the value of investments in factories that began production during February reached approximately SAR 890 million, with an estimated 1,902 new jobs, highlighting the ongoing expansion of Saudi Arabia’s industrial base and the increasing pace of factories entering actual operational phases.
The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources publishes these indicators monthly through the National Industrial and Mining Information Center to enhance transparency and monitor the Kingdom’s industrial growth. The indicators track new investment volumes, the number of issued licenses, and factories commencing production.
