18 Companies Win Quarry Licenses in Riyadh

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources announced that 18 companies have won licenses for construction-material quarries to extract sand and gravel from two mining complexes in the Riyadh region, covering an area of approximately 18 square kilometers.

The move comes as part of the ministry’s efforts to optimize the use of mineral resources that support the construction sector and major development projects across the Kingdom.

The ministry’s official spokesperson, Jarrah Al-Jarrah, stated that the companies awarded quarry licenses in the South Al-Ha’ir Mining Complex include:

Jack Saudi Contracting Company

Fidak Roads and Contracting Company

Dalbaa Contracting Company

Abdulali Al-Ajmi Company

Saleh Abdulaziz Al-Rashed & Sons Company

National Tamdeen Contracting Company

Shibh Al-Jazira Contracting Company

Al-Ayuni Investment and Contracting Company

He added that 10 companies have won quarry licenses in the South Al-Dilam Mining Complex, including:

Dayem Al-Sumou Trading Company

Fahd Ali Al-Quraini Mining Company

Faisal Habbas Al-Qahtani Company

Raml Al-Wisam Mining Company

Majed Mohammed Al-Othaib Contracting Company

Saad Habbas Al-Qahtani Company

Redam Mining Company

Red Sand Dunes Company

Re’am Arabian Contracting Company

Faisal Malham Al-Dosari Company

The ministry noted that developing mining complexes forms part of its strategy to encourage investment in the mining sector, enhance governance standards, protect mining sites from illegal encroachments, and support the development of communities surrounding mining activities.
