Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef laid the foundation stone for Al-Baddad Industrial Complex in the Second Industrial City of Makkah, spanning over 1.3 million square meters with total investments exceeding SAR 1.24 billion.
The ceremony was attended by senior officials from the industrial ecosystem, the Ministry of Investment, the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON), the Makkah Chamber of Commerce, and executives of Al-Baddad Holding, led by Chairman Dr. Fatin Al-Baddad and CEO Zayed Al-Baddad.
The project aligns with Saudi Arabia’s ongoing industrial transformation and positions the new complex as a fully integrated national industrial platform, combining advanced manufacturing, infrastructure, operational services, energy solutions, and logistics—particularly serving Hajj and Umrah ecosystems under the slogan “From Makkah to the World.”
Designed as a next-generation industrial hub, the complex integrates manufacturing with logistics and field operations, reducing project delivery time, lowering reliance on external suppliers, and enhancing operational efficiency and quality.
The complex includes one of the region’s largest integrated manufacturing ecosystems, covering steel, aluminum, PVC, modular buildings, HVAC systems, textiles, as well as solar and hydrogen energy plants, alongside specialized operational platforms supporting pilgrimage seasons.
Executives highlighted that the project represents a new model for industrial cities—one that strengthens local supply chains, creates high-quality jobs, supports sustainability, and reinforces Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals.
