Madinah – BETH | 26 Rabiʽ Al-Awwal 1447 AH corresponding to 18 September 2025

His Excellency the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, Sheikh Dr. Abdul Latif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh, today inaugurated two development projects at the King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Qur’an in Madinah, during his inspection visit to the ministry’s sectors in the region.

In a statement following the inauguration, His Excellency expressed his thanks and gratitude to the wise leadership – may Allah preserve it – for its continuous support of the complex, stressing that these projects come within the framework of enhancing production efficiency and printing quality, and expanding the reach of Qur’anic content through the upgraded digital platform, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

🔹 The first project:
Launching the upgraded digital platform of the Complex, which provides interactive options and expanded services for beneficiaries, through a modern interface that supports various devices and enables direct and clear access to services.
The platform also supports accessibility tools for people with special needs, thereby reinforcing the Complex’s mission in serving the Book of Allah Almighty and spreading it worldwide.

🔹 The second project:
Developing digital printing, assembly, and stitching machines using the latest technologies. The printing machines feature speeds of up to 110 meters per minute, with the capability to print on multiple paper weights, while the assembly and stitching machines reach speeds of 10 meters per minute, with a production capacity of 10,000 copies per day of the Holy Qur’an ready for binding.

✒️ BETH – Commentary
This step represents a qualitative leap that combines the authenticity of the Holy Qur’an with the technologies of the future, where paper preservation meets digital distribution, ensuring the continuation of Saudi Arabia’s leadership in serving the Qur’an and spreading its message globally through advanced and modern means.

📌 Note – Information

📖 The Qur’an
It is the word of God revealed to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, preserved in the hearts, recited as an act of worship, and transmitted through continuous narration (tawātur).
It is the divine revelation itself, unchanged and unaltered, preserved until the Day of Judgment: “Indeed, it is We who sent down the Reminder, and indeed, We will be its guardian.”
Thus, the Qur’an is the content, the meaning, and the divine speech itself.

📘 The Muṣḥaf
It is the physical book in which the verses and chapters of the Qur’an are compiled in their known order.
The term Muṣḥaf refers to the written, printed, or digital copy that contains the complete text of the Holy Qur’an.
There can be many copies of Muṣḥafs (printed, handwritten, digital), but they all contain the same Qur’an.

🔹 In other words:

The Qur’an = the revelation and divine speech.

The Muṣḥaf = the container or medium in which the Qur’an is written.

Therefore, one cannot say “Qur’an of the future” or “Qur’an of today”, because the Qur’an is one and unchanging.
But it is correct to say “Muṣḥaf of the future”, referring to the form or medium through which the Qur’an is presented (printed, digital, audio, etc.).
