Egypt signs joint agreements with Saudi Aramco and Luberef

Joint agreements were signed between the Egyptian petroleum sector and the Saudi Aramco Group, which come within the framework of the executive procedures for the construction stages of the petrochemical complex in the Suez Canal Corridor area of ​​the Red Sea National Petrochemical Company during the activities of the Fifth Egypt International Petroleum Conference and Exhibition (EGYPS 2022). The signing was witnessed by Eng. Tarek El Molla Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources

According to the statement of the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, the agreements and contracts signed between the Egyptian and Saudi parties include many key areas to expedite the implementation of the giant petrochemical complex in the Suez Canal axis area, foremost of which is the Principles Agreement to provide crude with Saudi Aramco Trading Company.

The statement of the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum added that Saudi Aramco is the first and world leader in the field of crude supply, which will secure the needs of the Egyptian Red Sea Company of Arab very light crude due to its quality and suitability for the design of the giant petrochemical complex in the Suez Canal axis area and what distinguishes Aramco. From a long history, long experience and commitment.

 

The statement of the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum affirmed that the cooperation between the petroleum sector and Saudi Aramco is the culmination and extension of the well-established historical relations between Egypt and the Kingdom, the leadership and people, which establish more successful partnerships in the oil and gas sector.

In the same context, a contract for importing essential oils was signed between the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation and the Saudi Luberef Company, which contributes to meeting the needs of the Egyptian local market.
