Saudi Rally 2025 Kicks Off in Jeddah – May 1

In a renewed sporting scene that reflects the Kingdom’s ambition to host top-tier international events, Saudi Rally 2025 is set to launch tomorrow, Thursday, May 1, in Jeddah, as the third round of the Middle East Rally Championship, under the supervision of the Ministry of Sports, and organized by Saudi Motorsport Company and the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation.
■ 824 KM of Adrenaline — Jeddah Sets the Stage
The rally will cover 824.35 kilometers over two days, with 22 drivers from 8 countries taking part:
Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Jordan, Lebanon, Finland, and India.
Competitors will be racing in two main categories: Rally2 and Rally4, with Jeddah Corniche Circuit serving as the official base for the event.
■ Route Details — From the East to the North
Friday, May 2: The first stage takes off in eastern Jeddah, passing through Buraiman, Wadi Al-Mutawi, and Umm Al-Jurm.
Saturday, May 3: The second stage shifts north, covering Al-Ghawla, Asfan, and Dhahban.
■ Al-Attiyah Leads… Al-Rashed Close Behind
Qatari driver Nasser Al-Attiyah and his Spanish co-driver Candido Carrera enter the race with a clear lead, after clinching victories in the opening rounds held in Oman and Qatar, securing 22 points at the top of the leaderboard.
Saudi driver Rakan Al-Rashed emerges as one of the top challengers, alongside seasoned Finnish competitor Juho Hänninen.
