Beth: The Ministry of Commerce called on all restaurants, cafes and roasters in the Kingdom to adopt the name "Saudi coffee" instead of "Arabic coffee", in naming and describing this type of product.

The Federation of Saudi Chambers directed a circular to all concerned parties to adopt the name "Saudi coffee" instead of "Arabic coffee" in the list of products it offers to its customers, and assure them not to use it as a trade name or trademark.

Last year, the Ministry of Culture announced the launch of an initiative and the designation of 2022 as the "Year of Saudi Coffee." The Ministry has allocated an electronic platform for it, including a description of the initiative and its objectives, and instructions for using the visual identity, provided that this is accompanied by many activities, initiatives and events throughout the year, in celebration of this cultural element linked to the identity and culture of the Kingdom.
