Beth: The activities of the 34th International “Virtual” Conference for Muslims of Latin America and the Caribbean, which is organized by the Islamic Call Center in the Republic of Brazil, in cooperation with the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, for two days began.

The conference deals with the topic of endowment and its role in serving the Muslim communities in Latin America and the Caribbean, with the participation of representatives from the Brazilian government and a number of scholars, academics, thinkers and students from a number of countries.

The Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh said in the opening speech of the conference:

God has honored us with the religion of Islam and made it the seal of religions. He is greater in favor of God Almighty over his creation. Praise be to God who guided us to his religion, which He singled out for perfection and perfection. It is suitable for every time and place.

He pointed out that the Islamic religion addressed God to all people, because it is the righteousness of their religion and their world, and it is the religion of mercy, tolerance and ease in belief, worship, transactions, and morals. To ensure its sustainability and achieve its objectives.

Al-Sheikh emphasized that caring for the endowment embodies social solidarity in all its forms, and achieves familiarity, cooperation, love, and peace, which is what remains for a person after his death, as he, peace be upon him, said: “If the son of Adam dies, his work is cut off except for three: ongoing charity, or Knowledge that benefits him, or a righteous son who prays for him.” Narrated by Imam Muslim.

He expressed his hope that the conference would achieve its noble goals in reviving the Sunnah of the endowment by defining the concept of endowment appropriate for this time, its fields, and its importance for Muslim minorities with a study of historical and contemporary models of endowments, and identifying the reasons for the weakness of the endowment in the present era, and ways to activate it.

The President of the Conference, Director of the Islamic Call Center in Latin America and the Caribbean in the Republic of Brazil, Ahmed bin Ali Al-Saifi, delivered a speech in which he welcomed the participating delegations, noting the generous and continuous support of the leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia represented by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Highness the Crown Prince. Prince Muhammad bin Salman - may God preserve them - for the work of the conference over a course of forty years, which continues to extend a hand of goodness without interruption and without searching for a reward except from God Almighty.

The speech of the State of Kuwait participating in the conference, the President of the International Islamic Charitable Organization, Dr. Abdullah bin Maatouq Al-Maatouq, which was delivered on his behalf by the Director of the Authority, Dr. Badr bin Saud Al-Sumait, in which he stressed that the pioneering efforts of the Kingdom and its wise leadership in supporting Muslims are not surprising, as it has consistently throughout its history to unite their ranks and support their causes It is present in all forums.

The heads of the delegations participating in the conference delivered speeches praising its importance, the topics raised in it and the working papers that will be discussed in its sessions, praising the good organization and preparation of its work to achieve the aspirations of Muslim minorities in the Latin American and Caribbean countries.
