In the Yemeni crisis with reference to the three references, the Gulf initiative, and the outcomes of the comprehensive Yemeni national dialogue.
He pointed out that the well-established objectives of Operation Decisive Storm and Restoring Hope are clear to the Yemeni people and the entire international community, as the battle in Yemen is between peace on the one hand and destruction and destruction on the other, and peace is what the Kingdom seeks as a leader of the coalition, and all the Gulf states and the sister countries participating in it, To reach a comprehensive political solution to achieve security and stability in Yemen, so that Yemen would be secure, stable, enjoying prosperity and development, after suffering many tragedies due to the terrorist Houthi militia.
He said during the press conference he held in Riyadh today, Sunday: "The Decisive Storm began with the request of the President of the Republic of Yemen, Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi, and under the supervision of the Security Council, to defend the Yemeni people and protect them from the Houthi violations that began in Saada 2014, by burning mosques and displacing citizens, in addition to controlling On the governorate of Amran, killing Major General Al-Qushaibi, controlling the entire capabilities of the Yemeni people in the capital, Sana’a, and threatening the temporary capital of the Yemenis, Aden, which was drawn as a red line, stressing that the military operations in Yemen reached the farthest point in Aden, which is evidence that there are no interests of the Kingdom The Gulf countries can only restore security and stability to the Yemeni people, after the terrorist Houthi militia adopted the sectarian ideology that Iran transferred to all Arab countries and brought them destruction and devastation.
Al-Maliki spoke about the political and economic crisis in Lebanon, which is nothing more than destruction, devastation and destruction from the Lebanese terrorist Hezbollah, referring to Iraq, which has suffered many from Hezbollah's scourge, and the sectarian expansionist ideas of the Iranian regime that feed extremist ideology.
He stressed that the war in Yemen is an intellectual, cultural, social, military and economic war as is the case in Lebanon, stressing that the coalition presented all initiatives to reach a comprehensive political solution that were rejected by the militias, explaining that the political solution is the best solution to the crisis in Yemen, but the military tool seeks to achieve goals. political alliance.
He pointed out that in 2016, with the thanks and appreciated efforts of the United Nations and its Special Envoy, the talks lasted for 100 days, during which a solid ground was reached for a comprehensive political solution in Yemen, but some representatives from the Houthi delegation asked to travel outside Kuwait to take instructions from the Revolutionary Guards And they returned by rejecting the draft that had been reached.
Brigadier General Al-Maliki made it clear that the militia's talk about the existence of an unreal and incorrect siege, and that allowing relief and international organizations to move foodstuffs and oil derivatives from the port of Hodeidah to all governorates is a conditional right, as the coalition provided three alternative paths to move, which was met with the militia's insistence on controlling and trading them to support The so-called war effort.
He referred to the continuation of the Houthi terrorist militia in arrogance and intransigence to reach a political solution by rejecting all efforts from the United Nations from 2016 to 2018, indicating that the coalition announced in 2018 the operation to liberate Hodeidah, which is the inherent right of the Yemeni government to liberate all Yemeni lands, and secure shipping lines. And global trade, due to the militia launching ballistic missiles and drones, and using the port to store weapons.
And the spokesman of the coalition forces indicated that the coalition monitors around the clock the movements of the missiles, the newly developed workshops for the manufacture of ballistic missiles and drones, and mine workshops in residential neighborhoods in Sana’a and others to take civilians as human shields, which confirms that the militia does not seek peace and does not want it, and that sectarian thought feeds its ideas by waging war on The Yemeni people and their capabilities.
He added: "In March 2021, the Kingdom presented a comprehensive initiative to reach a comprehensive political solution that enjoyed the support of the international community, but the militia rejected it under the dictates of the Iranian regime, and one of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards' officers, Hassan Erlo, was leading the planning for military operations," stressing that the initiative still exists to achieve security. and stability for the Yemeni people.
And he added, "The militia's move to Marib confirms its continued targeting of civilians and threatening more than 3 million displaced people from the northern regions of Yemen," stressing that all citizens reject the militia's control over Marib, saluting the tribal elders and loyal men of the people of Marib who sacrificed their blood in order to protect Marib. Civilians, indicating that al-Houthi has no goal other than to implement the confirmed dictates of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards and the experts of the Lebanese terrorist Hezbollah.
He continued, "We presented a new military model in military operations that has not been presented before, that we have the ability to respond to these militias, their arrogance, and their absurdity, but we have the breath, wisdom and courage, but this absurdity in targeting civilians had to stop, and that there should be military operations within the framework of International humanitarian law to neutralize and destroy these capabilities that it obtained with the support of the Iranian regime and the experts of the Lebanese terrorist Hezbollah.”
Al-Maliki indicated that the Houthi militia launched 430 ballistic missiles and 851 drones towards the Kingdom, and thus misread the international political events and was affected by the geopolitical conditions in the region and the dictates of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards and the Lebanese terrorist Hezbollah experts, stressing that the failed Houthi attempts to target the Kingdom were addressed, pointing out that These militias have misinterpreted the kingdom's strategic patience.
He explained that the coalition's efforts contributed to securing navigation in the Red Sea, noting that the Houthi militia threatened maritime navigation with more than 247 sea mines and 100 boats, which the coalition completely destroyed.
He stressed that the coalition granted all permits to the United Nations, which amounted to 3,525 permits, and did not reject any request, indicating that Sanaa airport was not closed, but that Houthi uses it as a launching point for ballistic missiles and specific weapons against civilians in the Kingdom, as it is protected under international and humanitarian law.
The spokesman of the coalition forces indicated that immunity will fall from any civilian eye used by the Houthis to launch attacks based on the second paragraph of Article 52 of Additional Protocol I and also based on Articles Seven and Eight of customary international humanitarian law, noting that the coalition focused its operations at the airport on not being affected Its operational capacity, giving an overview of the militia’s abuses by using the airport for military purposes in terms of storage, training and control.
He said, "We did not target many targets in Sana'a, because civilians are a priority for the coalition, and the Houthi militia must remove all weapons from civilian objects. We decide when and where to target their capabilities." All legal considerations were taken in destroying military targets inside an airport.
Al-Maliki warned the terrorist elements of the Houthi leadership that civilians in the Kingdom are a red line, and these leaders must know that the coalition is able to reach them.
The spokesman of the coalition forces touched on Hezbollah's terrorist activity, which extended outside Lebanon, stressing that this terrorist party does not represent the Lebanese people, as it is a cancer in Lebanon that affected the Lebanese in the first place, and focused on spreading destruction in the region and the world.
He added that the Lebanese terrorist Hezbollah bears responsibility for targeting civilians in the Kingdom and Yemen, indicating that there is a responsibility that falls on the Lebanese themselves from this terrorist organization, as well as the responsibility of the international community to respond decisively to the activity of this terrorist party.
