The value of merchandise exports to Saudi Arabia increased by 90% - the value of petroleum exports during the month of October was 82.4 billion riyals
Riyadh - The General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) today issued the International Trade Bulletin for the month of October 2021 AD.
According to the data contained in this bulletin, the value of the Kingdom's merchandise exports recorded in October 2021 AD, an increase of (90.0%) over their value in the same month last year; Because international trade at that time was affected by the ban and travel ban measures due to the (Covid-19) pandemic.
The value of the Kingdom's merchandise exports during October 2021 amounted to (106.2 billion riyals) compared to (55.9 billion riyals) during October 2020, with an increase of (50.3 billion riyals), equivalent to (90%).
The value of petroleum exports during October 2021 amounted to (82.4 billion riyals) compared to (36.9 billion riyals) during the same month last year (October 2020 AD), with an increase of (45.5 billion riyals) with a rate of (123.1%).
According to the International Trade Bulletin for the month of October 2021 AD, the proportion of the Kingdom’s petroleum exports to the total exports increased from (66.1%) in October 2020 AD to (77.6%) in October 2021 AD, and the value of its merchandise exports increased by (11.5 billion riyals). That is, by (12.2%) compared to the previous month (September 2021 AD).
According to the results of the bulletin, the value of non-oil exports increased by (25.5%) during the month of October 2021 compared to October 2020, when it recorded (23.8 billion riyals) compared to (18.96 billion riyals), while the value of non-oil exports decreased compared to the previous month. September 2021 AD, amounting to (1.5 billion riyals), equivalent to (5.9%).
On the other hand, the value of the Kingdom’s merchandise imports in October 2021 increased by (7.6%) by (3.3 billion riyals), where the value of imports reached (46.3 billion riyals) in October 2021 AD compared to (43.04 billion riyals) in the month October 2020 AD; This is due to the rise in commodity prices. The value of the Kingdom’s imports decreased in October 2021 AD compared to the previous month, September 2021 AD, by an amount of (1.1 billion riyals), equivalent to a rate of (2.4% .
