Beth- The Iranian Resistance held a virtual press conference in the presence of its leader Maryam Rajavi, former Western intelligence officials, and experts in combating terrorism.

Rajavi said at the press conference that began in Brussels on October 22nd, that the European Union is facing a historical test in the face of terrorism in the name of Islam.

Rajavi called on the European Union to blacklist the Revolutionary Guards as a terrorist group, saying: "Today we face a unique anomaly, as for the first time a diplomat carrying a bomb is being tried in the heart of Europe."

The leader of the National Council of Resistance of Iran said, “In my testimony for 7 hours during the investigations, I clarified the details of the decision-making process and the implementation of the operation, and I confirm again that Ali Khamenei, Hassan Rouhani, Muhammad Javad Zarif and Iranian Intelligence Minister Mahmoud Alawi made the decision to target the Mujahideen Organizationconference created in Paris two years ago.

She emphasized that the European Union is facing a serious and historic test today by confronting terrorism in the name of Islam, and what it must do about the
focus of terrorism.

Rajavi stressed that the Ministry of Intelligence and the Revolutionary Guards should be classified as terrorist entities, and that intelligence personnel and the Quds Force should be tried and expelled from European lands, and embassies and cultural and religious centers of the Iranian regime should be closed.

"These measures are a necessary and guarantor condition for security in Europe in general, especially the security of Iranian refugees and opponents, and they will bring friendship and support to the entire Iranian people," Rajavig concluded.

The trial of Asadullah Asadi, the third secretary of the Iranian embassy in Vienna and prominent member of the Ministry of Intelligence and three of his accomplices, will take place on November 27 in Antwerp.

They are accused of masterminding the attempted mass bombing of the PMOI conference in 2018.

The  accused four  have been imprisoned for more than two years, and this is the first time that an Iranian diplomat has been tried in Europe on terrorism charges.

It is worth noting that more than 20 political figures, including former prime ministers, foreign ministers, current ambassadors and lawmakers from the United States,Europe and the Middle East, are among the special plaintiffs in this case.

Among the most prominent political figures who participated in the virtual press conference were the attorneys representing civil parties, William Burdon, Christophe Marchand, George Henry Pottet, and Rick Vanewcell.John Sanou, a former deputy director of operations for the US Central Intelligence Agency for the National Secret Service, Robert Joseph, a prosecutor and former US State Department agent for arms control and international security, and Julio Terzi, a prosecutor and former Italian foreign minister, also participated in the conference.

The list included Robert Torricelli, a former US attorney and senator, and Claude Monique, a former intelligence agent at the French General Directorate for External Security, and CEO of the European Center for Strategic Intelligence and Security.

The participants supported the Iranian resistance, in calling on European governments to condemn the terrorism of the mullahs' regime and to close the regime's embassies in light of the failed bombing plot in 2018 against the annual gathering of the National Council of Iranian Resistance in Paris by the Iranian diplomat accused of committing a terrorist act, Asadullah Asadi.

Muhammad Muhaddin, head of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, said: What happened in 2018 is evidence of the nature of
the Iranian regime, and the evidence confirms that all officials participated in the decision to bomb the bombing and that it is not without Khamenei's
knowledge.

This planned terrorist plot was carried out in Tehran at the highest levels of the Iranian regime's leadership, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS), Mohdethin say.

He pointed out that despite the fact that the European Union has recognized the role of the Iranian regime, it has so far refrained from taking concrete measures, expressing his hope that this matter will change and take a more assertive policy towards the Tehran regime.Farzin Hashemi, a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, stated that Asadullah Asadi, an Iranian diplomat accused of terrorism, is being tried in Belgium for his role in a plot targeting the "Free Iran" conference in 2018.

Hashemi pointed out that Asadi tried from the beginning to lift the Vienna agreements to avoid prosecution for carrying out the planned terrorist plot in Tehran.

William Burdon, a well-known lawyer in the field of human rights and international criminal law, said: "An unprecedented experience for two reasons, the bombing plot could have been devastating, and the direct involvement of the Iranian government in this disgusting crime has now been proven.""We will make sure that the judge’s decision reflects the seriousness of the crime, and for everyone in Europe it will be clear that alongside the four accused, the Iranian regime itself will be seated," he added.

Rick Vanriusel, a criminal law attorney who was another speaker at the hypothetical press conference, said: “On November 27, the case of the Iranian diplomat accused of terrorism will be heard. The investigation took two years. We submitted our first written note and we received the defense case.”

Vanriusel expressed his surprise that a secret agent was trying to protest the Geneva Conventions, despite his arrest while trying to blow up a civilian population, pointing out that the fifth party in the case of Asadullah Asadi accused of terrorism is the Iranian regime.

Rick Vanriusel expects to announce the ruling at the end of November,or early December 2020, considering that this is a case symbolizing the protection of European values against tyrants.

Christophe Marchand, an international criminal law attorney, noted that this is one of the most important terrorism cases in the twenty-first century because it is an
attack on democracy and human rights.

He revealed that the Iranian regime had no other response than to use terrorism to harm the opposition, stressing at the same time that Europe has a solid judicial system that will not accept the tyranny to attack the regime.
