Million flowers decorate Qatif
Beth: The Qatif Governorate Municipality has completed planting one million diverse winter flowers, within the quality of life programs, addressing visual distortion, improving the urban landscape, creating an environmentally friendly climate, and increasing the areas of planted flowers, and the per capita share of them.
The Mayor of Qatif Governorate, Engineer Muhammad bin Abdul Mohsen Al-Hussaini, explained that more than one million flowers were planted, including various waterfronts, streets, squares, squares, triangles, central islands, gardens, parks and municipal buildings, noting that during the winter season, more than two million flowers are expected to be planted.
He indicated that the municipality seeks to cover the roads, public parks and squares with large numbers of flowers of various shapes and types that add an aesthetic dimension to the appearance of the governorate and elevate the general view of the various facilities, noting that the flowers that the Gardens and Afforestation Department works to plant are produced by the municipality's central nursery.
He stressed that the municipality's efforts are continuing in the field of beautifying the governorate with various types of flowers according to a timetable in which the flowers are replaced according to the growing seasons, explaining that each type of flower needs a certain amount of temperature and its flowering period ends with the end of the appropriate time period for its survival.
He indicated that there are a number of goals that the municipality seeks to achieve through planting flowers, which are improving the local environment, contributing to the ecological balance by reducing the pollution process, in addition to the role of plants in protecting the environment, reducing soil erosion and erosion and protection from dust, in addition to the role Cosmetics to paint a painting that contributes to adding a beautiful atmosphere to the province.
