Saudi weightlifter Siraj Al Saleem achieves third place in the World Weightlifting Championships

Saudi weightlifter Siraj Al Saleem won two bronze medals in the net and the total, in the 61-kg weight category at the World Senior Weightlifting Championships, which is currently being held in the Uzbek capital Tashkent, with the participation of more than 432 male and female weightlifters representing 74 countries.

After the great achievement that weightlifting green achieved yesterday in the opening world championship by champion Mansour Al Saleem by winning first place in the snatch competitions with a weight of 55 kg, his brother Siraj joined him to climb the world crowning podium after lifting 155 kg in the net and scoring 282 points in total. He takes third place in terms of total and net worth.




The President of the Saudi Weightlifting Federation, Muhammad Al-Harbi, blessed these achievements that continue in the world championship, congratulating the wise leadership - may God support it - for what the sons and heroes of this dear country have achieved, which is the least that the Saudi team’s weightlifters provide in return for the unlimited support that Saudi sports are witnessing at the general level. And the Saudi Weightlifting Federation in particular, praising the great levels presented by the weightlifters Al Salim Mansour and Siraj, and that they are two global sports models to follow for the true meaning of patience, perseverance and diligence, and that these achievements did not come except with great preparation and continuous camps in the past period.
