Trump: Egypt may blow up the Renaissance Dam / Video

US President Donald Trump said that Egypt might blow up the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam, indicating that Addis Ababa had violated the agreement.

Trump's statements to reporters came after a phone call between him and Abdullah Hamdok, the Sudanese Prime Minister, to discuss the Renaissance Dam and various other issues.

On Friday, US President Donald Trump and Sudanese Prime Minister Abdullah Hamdouk called for an amicable solution to the dispute over the Renaissance Dam between Sudan and Egypt on the one hand and Ethiopia on the other hand, sending an unprecedented warning to Addis Ababa.

Trump, who made the call to reporters at the White House, said he also told Egypt the same thing, adding that the situation is dangerous and that Cairo might end up "blowing up that dam."
