The "Rijal Alma" village in Saudi Arabia is on the list of the best tourist villages in the world
Beth: Among the 175 participating entities from 75 countries, the World Tourism Organization lists the Saudi village of Rijal Almaa in the list of the best tourist villages in the world, and this achievement confirms the importance of commitment to sustainability and using tourism as a force for positive change in societies.
The Saudi Minister of Tourism, Ahmed Al-Khatib, expressed his pride in the appreciation of the World Tourism Organization. He affirmed the commitment to work towards tourism sustainability in the village.
He wrote in a tweet on his Twitter account:
"I am proud that Rijal Almaa has been recognized as one of the world's ‘best tourism villages’, by the
today. This celebrates a commitment to sustainability and the use of tourism as a force for positive change within communities".
