His Excellency toured a field tour accompanied by the Lord in a number of cities and governorates of the Eastern Province to inform him of the most prominent landmarks, historical sites and the most famous in the region, and sites approved by UNESCO for World Heritage, where he visited Al-Ahsa Governorate, during which he was briefed on the most prominent heritage and historical sites.

They also visited the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture "Ithra", which is considered one of the most prominent civilized and cultural centers, where he was briefed on the most prominent contents of the center such as museums, an energy exhibition and cinema platforms, and listened to a detailed explanation about the most prominent activities of the center and introducing its initiatives and biography The historical stages of oil discovery in the Kingdom.

After that, His Excellency the Mayor of Al Sharqiya, Eng. Fahd bin Muhammad Al-Jubeir, and the Mayor of the Scottish city of Aberdeen, President of the Global Energy Cities Association, Lord Barney Crockett, held a virtual meeting of the members of the global energy cities at the headquarters of the Eastern Municipality, with the participation of the trustees and the mayor of the Energy Cities Association, which coincided with the mayor’s visit to the Eastern Region. In order to discuss the programs that are being worked on, and to see the most prominent efforts made by cities to confront the outbreak of the (Corona) pandemic, and the most prominent successful experiences, including the experience of the Eastern Municipality in the face of “Corona” and post-pandemic developments in some cities that have succeeded in recovering socially. And economically, including the cities and governorates of the Kingdom.

At the end of the tour, His Excellency the Secretary, accompanied by Mayor Crockett and his accompanying delegation, visited Jubail Governorate, and was acquainted with the most prominent efforts undertaken by the Municipality represented by the Jubail Municipality, and the development witnessed by Jubail in all fields.
