Bethpress Special - An online press conference was held in Brussels on Thursday 22 October, in the presence of Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President of the Republic, elected by the Iranian Resistance.

A number of prominent political figures from both sides of the Atlantic participated in the conference.

The speakers called on the governments of their countries to condemn the mullahs' terrorism and close the regime's embassies.

Maryam Rajavi, the elected president of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, sent a message to the conference and called on the European Union to blacklist the IRGC as a terrorist group.

Said William Burdon, a well-known lawyer in the field of human rights and international criminal law.

"What happened in 2018 is evidence of the nature of the Iranian regime. Evidence confirms that all officials participated in the decision-making of terrorist bombings in Europe and the world," said Muhammad Muhadditin, head of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran. And it is not without Khamenei's knowledge

Farzin Hashemi, a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, said at the beginning of the conference: Asadullah Asadi, an Iranian terrorist diplomat is being tried in Belgium for his role in the bombing plot targeting the "Free Iran" conference of 2018.

William Burdon said: The bombing plot would have been devastating.

Rick Vanriusel, a criminal law attorney who was another speaker at the conference, said: The secret agent is trying to invoke the Geneva Conventions. You cannot pretend to be a diplomat when you are caught trying to blow up a civilian population.

"This is a case that symbolizes the protection of European values against dictators," Rick Vanriusel emphasized.

“This is one of the most important terrorism cases of the 21st century,” said Christophe Marchand, an international criminal law attorney.

And John Sanou, Assistant Professor, Institute for Global Policy; The former deputy director, the National Secret Service, CIA was another speaker at the conference who said: There should be more international outrage over this crime.

Participants emphasized that the European Union still does not see Iran as a primary threat to its own citizens. Some of the opponents of the regime who were assassinated by the regime were European citizens.

The European Union must be louder and clear in the face of these threats emanating from the terrorists who belong to the criminal system in Iran.
