Al-Khuraisi: Civil Aviation (Saudi Arabia) will witness billions of investment opportunities by 2030
Dubai - The Director General of Strategy at the Saudi General Civil Aviation Authority, Eng. Muhammad Al-Khuraisi, confirmed that the civil aviation sector strategy will witness huge billion investment opportunities for the private sector by 2030.
In his paper, which he delivered in a discussion session on aviation sustainability at the Dubai Airshow, he confirmed the authority’s intention to adopt a set of initiatives and programs that ensure environmentally friendly operations, including the full operation of some airports with renewable energy, improving flight paths, operating procedures and ground movement, and implementing a compensation plan. Carbon Reduction in International Aviation (CORSIA) and the reshaping of the Kingdom’s atmosphere in a manner that ensures the highest levels of efficiency and effectiveness, noting that all these efforts are aimed at developing the traveler’s experience, as the General Authority of Civil Aviation puts the traveler first.
He stressed the commitment to the importance of sustainability in the aviation sector as part of its approved strategy, as it outlined plans to stimulate investment in world-leading high-efficiency aircraft.
