The nuclear agreement... the meaning of the three conditions of the Iranian regime

Broadcast: In a press conference, the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman outlined three conditions for returning the regime to its obligations:

1- The United States acknowledges that it is responsible for the current situation in the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.

2- Cancellation of all penalties at once.

3- Ensure that no other US government withdraws from the JCPOA.

Hossein Da’i al-Islam, a member of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, commented on this:

Each of the three conditions is totally unrealistic and impractical.

The first condition: Acknowledging that the United States is responsible for the current turbulent situation in the nuclear agreement is not in line with the logic of the balance of power, nor with reality.

Because the Biden government has done its best to revive the nuclear deal over the past ten months; But according to the White House National Security Adviser, “the Iranian regime has not yet demonstrated that it wants to return to its commitments in the nuclear deal” (Sullivan, November 8).

The second condition is that the United States lift all sanctions at once, neither the Biden administration nor any other administration in the United States has been able to address this request.

Because the US Congress has imposed many sanctions against the regime. Such as the punishments of Elsa, Issa, and Katsa (known as the Mother of Sanctions).

If any government wants sanctions to be lifted, the US House and Senate must agree, with a majority of both parties agreeing that sanctions against the regime should continue or even increase.

The third condition that the government must guarantee that no other government withdraw from the nuclear agreement is illogical.

Because the JCPOA is an "agreement" and not a "law". An agreement was made by the Obama administration, so any other government can cancel it, as the Trump administration did.

Are these obvious facts hidden from the eyes of Khamenei, my president, and the Foreign Ministry? Why did they put such conditions?

The answer is two words: “dilemma” and “crisis”!

“‘Impasse” is the crossroads of death that Khamenei faces in the nuclear field. If he wants to enter into negotiations that lead to the lifting of sanctions, he has to swallow the deadly cups of poison one after the other; It became what Khamenei described in two words in June 2016: “endless concession.”

If confrontation and adventurism continue, the issue of the regime will be transferred to the Security Council and major global pressures will increase.

The “crisis” is: Khamenei cannot say the same meaning frankly because it leads to more collapse and fall of his forces.

Hence, he chose the policy of holding the stick from the middle and duplicity. But can this policy remove from the regime's table the face of the main issue, that is, the "stalemate" and staying at the crossroads of death? Something seems impossible.
