The Military Public Prosecution in Beirut charged the journalist Maria Maalouf with "high treason and espionage", after she appeared in an interview with the Israeli Arabic-speaking Kan channel. Maalouf said that she left Lebanon because she was "at gunpoint," adding: "My weapon is the pen, and it seems that the pen is stronger than bullets." And that the media in Lebanon does not allow anyone to express opinions, except to the satisfaction of Hassan Nasrallah and Iran.
