The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque represented by an agency for technical, operational, maintenance and facilities management has installed the Uninterruptible Power System (UPS), which is a sophisticated engineering system and is a network of backup electrical supply for devices and equipment affected by power outages, in order to feed Important loads in the Grand Mosque and its courtyards.
The Director of the General Administration of Operation and Maintenance, Engineer Amer Al-Luqmani, explained that the Grand Mosque contains 8 uninterrupted UPS units in the Masaa’. Lighting in Masaa’ roles and units capacity of 200, 250 and 500 KVA.
And he indicated that there are 6 uninterrupted ups units in the small market cycles that supply the lighting within the cycles and the capacity of the units is 50 and 60 KVA, and there are also two uninterrupted power supply units ups in the Al-Qashsha cycles that also supply the lighting with a capacity of 40 KVA units, and a special UPS unit With the control and monitoring system, the unit capacity is 20 KVA, indicating that many UPS units feed the electronic systems in the Ajyad, Al-Safwa, Al-Anqari and mass transit courses, including the audio system, the camera system, and the BMS system.
