JEDDAH - The CEO of the Saudi Golf Federation, Majed Al-Sorour, expressed his happiness with the launch of the second Saudi Aramco International Women’s Championship tomorrow, and with the increasing interest of the number of European Tour players to participate in this global sporting event.


In the press conference for the launch of the tournament, which was held today at the Royal Grenzo Country Club in King Abdullah Economic City, Al-Sorour confirmed that the tournament proved to be one of the most important European tournaments for women, as a group of the best international golf players who won many major tournaments participated in it for the second year in a row. The tournament kicks off in King Abdullah Economic City - today

The Saudi Aramco Women's International Golf Championship, presented by the Public Investment Fund, and the Aramco Team Championship Series, will kick off today, Thursday, at the Royal Greens Club and Stadium, in King Abdullah Economic City, from 4 to 7 November.

This is the second edition hosted by the Kingdom, in which 100 players from around the world will compete for the largest share of the tournament's prize amounting to one million dollars, most notably the English player Annabelle Dimock, the Swedish Anna Nordqvist, the Australian Minji Lee, and the Englishwoman Georgia Hall, In addition to the previous title holder, Denmark's Emily Christine Pedersen, New Zealand's Lydia Koe, and Moroccan Maha Hadioui.
