Beth: Musa Afshar, a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, stated that the Iranian resistance and the People’s Mojahedin Mujahideen have made great strides today to mobilize world public opinion in general and American public opinion in particular, and from both parties in order to support the Iranian people and their main demand, which is the overthrow of the ruling mullahs’ regime in Tehran.

In the presence of a large crowd of expatriate Iranians, the conference dealt with the interventions of the mullahs’ regime in the region and Ibrahim’s key role in the 1988 massacre.

Following the G20 summit, Musa Afshar said, 1,000 Iranian-American community leaders from 40 states and victims of Ebrahim Raisi’s crimes joined the conference to demand accountability and urge the United States to lead decisive policy toward Iran.

At the beginning of the conference, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, emphasized in her televised speech, “...due to the widespread protests by all segments of Iranian society and the activities of the resistance units, the regime is living in a state of fear that the slightest incident will lead to the outbreak of a major uprising. In short, the Iranian people are more ready than ever to bring down the regime. The time has come for the international community to stand by the Iranian people and their demand for change. The Iranian people have clearly demonstrated their desire and determination for change. He rejects this entire system. Let’s be frank: regime change is in the hands of the people and the Iranian resistance is inevitable, and nothing can stop it. It is time for the world to recognize this obvious truth.” Mrs. Rajavi added, “Any deal with this regime goes directly into the pockets of the guards, strengthening the apparatus of repression and exporting terrorism. The Iranian people expect the international community to hold Ebrahim Raisi accountable for genocide and crime against humanity in an international court. He is a ruthless killer. He must be brought to justice without delay.”

In his first presence of its kind, former US Vice President Mike Pence - who was in office until January 2021 - gave his speech at the two conferences, the resistance movement in Iran is stronger than ever. Resistance units in Iran are the center of hope for the Iranian people. They are the engine of change from within during the ongoing uprisings and protests. We stand unequivocally with the Iranian people and their resistance. One of the biggest lies the ruling regime has sold to the world is that there is no alternative to the status quo. But there is an alternative - a well-organised, fully equipped, fully qualified and popularly supported alternative called the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran. The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran is led by Maryam Rajavi - committed to democracy, human rights and freedom for every Iranian citizen. Its ten-point plan for Iran’s future will guarantee freedom of expression, freedom of assembly, and the freedom of every Iranian to choose their own elected leaders.

All the free nations of the world must continue to support the Iranian people in their calls for freedom and demand that Iran’s leaders cease their dangerous and destabilizing actions at home and abroad. We stand with the proud people of Iran because they are right, and because the regime in Tehran threatens the peace and security of the world.
