The Saudi Minister of Commerce meets 10 ministers and prominent investors to develop trade relations on the second day of the Future Investment Initiative
Riyadh - His Excellency the Minister of Commerce, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, in the presence of His Excellency the Deputy Minister and CEO of the National Competitiveness Center, Dr. Iman Bint Habbas Al-Mutairi, and His Excellency the Governor of the General Authority for Foreign Trade, Mr. Abdulrahman Al-Harbi, met with a group of ministers, officials and investors in light of the work of the second day of the Future Investment Initiative in Its fifth session will be held in Riyadh during the period 26-28 October 2021 AD.
Al-Qasabi discussed with the Minister of Investment at the British Ministry of International Trade Lord Gerry Grimstone, the former Canadian Prime Minister and Chairman of the Conservative Party Stephen Harper, the Spanish Minister of Industry, Trade and Tourism Reyes Maroto, and the Senegalese Minister of Economy, Planning and International Cooperation Amadou Haut, ways to strengthen relations in the trade and investment fields. Strengthening communication between the public and private sectors, and raising the level of trade exchange.
It was also agreed to form joint working teams to meet periodically, to expedite procedures and overcome all obstacles facing joint commercial work, and to seize qualitative investment opportunities in a number of sectors, foremost of which are: tourism, education, health, technology, insurance, mines, and services, in addition to Exchange of experiences and transfer of knowledge.
His Excellency the Minister of Commerce, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, met with a group of investors and businessmen, including: Henry Gong, partner in THL China Capital Holding - China, Andrew Toure, CEO of Visa in Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and Ronaldo Mushawar, partner Founder of Souq.com, Vice President of Amazon Middle East and North Africa, Patrice Motsebe, CEO of African Rainbow Minerals Group of Companies in South Africa, Satoshi Shimoda, General Manager of Nikkei Media, a Japanese company, and a delegation from the Colorado Businessmen and Women Council in the United States.
During these meetings, the opening of main offices for companies in the Kingdom, the provision of training programs, the creation of job opportunities, and the development of joint cooperation in the fields of e-commerce, education, media, mining and mining, and technology were discussed. They also discussed ways to enhance innovation, entrepreneurship, technology development and promising opportunities in various sectors in accordance with the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
