Beth: The Eastern Region Municipality has used the Eastern Region’s developed mix + EPM on Prince Sultan Road in Al-Khobar Governorate, which is specifically for treating landings around inspection rooms for road service covers, as part of its efforts to find effective solutions to address road network defects in landings around service manhole covers, as well as To improve the urban landscape, and enhance the principle of spending efficiency.

This mixture is characterized by the ease of manual or mechanical mixing on the site and does not require re-layering of the road for more than one stage, as one homogeneous mixture is used to avoid problems resulting from low asphalt temperatures during implementation and the difficulty of implementation around the service manholes, and this technique saves effort and time for speedy completion.

The secretariat added that the replacement of manhole covers and rain traps made of cast iron has begun, due to the presence of a negative impact, especially in transportation and installation, which requires a number of labor and special equipment, in addition to the erosion of chemical agents or their loss in different ways, which requires maintenance or constant change. And this led to the tendency to find covers made of materials that meet the same manufacturing requirements for metal covers and avoid the previous defects, which are covers made of fiberglass, for their ability to bear the same weight for metal covers, ease of transportation and installation for their light weight, in addition to their long lifespan for their resistance to chemicals, rust and corrosion, And their cost is lower compared to metal covers.
