The World Economic Forum announced the inclusion of the Abqaiq facility in the list of "industrial beacons", making it the third Saudi Aramco facility to join this list recognized by the World Economic Forum, and it includes world-leading manufacturing facilities in the application of Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies.

It is noteworthy that the Abqaiq facility is the cornerstone of Saudi Aramco's business, as it produces Arab Light crude oil, Arab Extra Light crude oil, gas condensate and natural gas liquids, and provides about 5% of the world's oil supply.
