The launch of the Al Sharqiya Entertainment Festival in partnership between the Sharqiya Municipality and a Gulf investor as an investment model for the first time

Beth: The activities and programs of the entertainment festival were launched at King Abdullah Park on the waterfront in Dammam, which is being organized in conjunction with the 91st Saudi National Day through the partnership between the Eastern Province Municipality and a Gulf investor from the sisterly State of Oman, which was inaugurated by His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef The Emir of the Eastern Province, with an investment model for the first time, in line with the vision of 2030 and supporting spending efficiency, as the festival is considered the largest in the eastern region.

The festival takes into account precautionary measures such as social distancing and safety means, and the festival includes a set of events and activities such as the productive families pavilion, which embraces the products of productive families and the (Basta) corner, which enhances the Secretariat’s efforts in providing sites for street vendors and sites dedicated to entrepreneurs and small investors, as well as a large theater for events and reviews Folk arts, hobbies and various theatrical performances, in addition to a large group of various recreational games, as well as the corners of restaurants, cafes and sessions that adorn the Dammam Corniche. The organizer aims to renew and revitalize the festival by hosting several circus shows and different games throughout the festival period to ensure a unique experience for visitors and hikers.

His Excellency the Mayor of the Eastern Region, Eng. Fahd bin Muhammad Al-Jubeir, stated that under the directives of His Highness the Emir of the Eastern Region and His Highness his deputy, and with the follow-up of His Excellency the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, the Municipality sought to develop the investment system and develop revenues by engaging the private sector and translating the Kingdom’s vision 2030 in supporting investors from the Gulf and raising the attractiveness of Municipal investment, and this festival comes as an investment model in partnership with a Gulf investor from the sisterly State of Oman, as it contributes to providing jobs for young men and women and productive families and activates the economic movement in the region.

For his part, the Undersecretary for Investments and Revenue Development, Engineer Hamdan Al-Aradi, said that this festival is a prototype and an experiment to launch many events and festivals with an investment model through the temporary leasing feature, through the municipal investment platform (Foras), and many sites will be launched to hold events and festivals in order to support Tourism and recreational activities in the region and creating job opportunities for youth, entrepreneurs and productive families.
