Mazen bin Adel Bakharji, and the Mayor of Khobar Governorate, Eng. Sultan Al-Zaydi.

After the inauguration, His Excellency and his accompanying delegation toured the two projects, reviewed all their components, and listened to an explanation of the stages the two projects went through by Mr. Badr Al-Suwaidan and Engineer Ahmed Al-Mousa, the implementers of these projects.

His Excellency the Mayor of the Eastern Region, Eng. Fahd bin Muhammad Al-Jubeir, valued the interaction of the private parties that enriched the region with these models, and identified distinct locations for them, so that the supervisor, creator, designer, financier and engineer joined forces, and their efforts combined to produce this system that was activated on the ground after it was just designs Pictured under distinctive frames.

His Excellency expressed his thanks for the efforts that have been made by all parties that seek to show creativity after creativity, among which came the anthropomorphic “the sky high”, which simulates the Kingdom’s reaching its mission to the sky, and the other site is the anthropomorphic “Al-Ardah”, which simulates the character of the ardh and is preceded by the flag bearer. Among 13 regions in a row, and we in the Eastern Province Municipality are happy with this achievement and the partnership with the private sector, which we have reached, which, and we are fully confident that we are competing with it at high and distinctive levels, especially as it designs that connect people to the place; To achieve greater belonging to the homeland, and to enhance the spirit of challenge in the love of the homeland, and this is the creed of the Saudi citizen.

Al-Arda Square comes as a gift from the Suwaidan Group. It is an interactive square that embodies the national heritage and folk art in a modern and beautiful way. To be immortalized in the memory of the people of the country, generation after generation, as the sculpture consists of 13 areas engraved with motifs that form the urban identity of the regions of the Kingdom in an artistic style that simulates the identity of the project and with a rhythm and harmonious formation of shadows and shadows with a historical, heritage and cultural dimension, in addition to a water body that dances with the songs of the Arda.

The technology was also used in this project by finding a “barcode” in the carved pieces for each area that includes the details of the area, its history and sufficient information about it in various languages ​​and audio-visual methods.

As for the “Anan Al-Samaa” roundabout, the total area of ​​the roundabout reached 14,750 square meters, which is a gift from Ahmed Al-Mousa Engineering Consulting Office. Developed by the founder King Abdul Aziz, with digging Najd triangles and flowing lines inspired by the desert, which symbolize the unification of the Kingdom, from which the other block emerged from the left side and appears high and lofty. In the consolidation of its feet, with straight lines symbolizing speed in the stages of development, as for the part that mediates the two blocks and is raised towards the sky, symbolized by the green jewel that represents our homeland engraved in the Kufic script, the phrase “Our ambition is the sky.”

Note that these two projects are part of the second season of the Majessem Watan Award competition, for the winners of the competition, which is an annual competition to select the most beautiful artistic and engineering works, to be inaugurated in one of the squares or public places. The initiative, then the Mayor of Khobar Governorate, Engineer Sultan bin Hamed Al-Zaydi, was honored, and His Excellency the Mayor of the Eastern Province, Engineer Fahd bin Muhammad Al-Jubeir, was honored by the businessmen implementing the two projects.
