The coalition destroys two booby-trapped boats for the Houthi .. the continued threat of Iranian-backed militias to the Bab al-Mandab Strait
Today, Monday, the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen reported that two booby-trapped boats of the Houthi militia in Salif had been destroyed and an imminent attack thwarted.
The coalition condemned the Houthis' continued threat to navigation in the Bab al-Mandab strait and the southern Red Sea, and the Houthi militia's continued violation of the Stockholm Agreement by launching hostile operations from Hodeidah.
It is noteworthy that the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen had announced last Wednesday that the air defenses had intercepted and destroyed a booby-trapped march launched by the Houthi militia towards Abha airport.
The coalition said that the Houthi militia's violations of international law are grave and targeting civilians, and that it deals with sources of threats firmly to protect civilians and civilian objects from hostile attacks.
It is noteworthy that the Iranian-backed Houthi militia continues its attempts to target civilian and economic objects in the Kingdom, in attempts that provoked condemnations from several Arab and Western countries, stressing their support for the Kingdom and its security, denouncing the Houthi terrorist attacks.
These repeated and escalating Houthi attempts come at a time when the United Nations is trying to establish a ceasefire in Yemen, in order to re-launch negotiations, in order to reach a peaceful solution to the conflict that has been going on for years.
