The head of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee in the Iranian Parliament, Mojtaba Dhu al-Nuri, has called for the execution of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani a thousand times.

Dhu al-Nuri said in a tweet on Twitter: "The vast majority of the Iranian nation does not accept anything less than isolating you and punishing you, according to your logic..Ali Khamenei must order your execution a thousand times so that he satisfies the hearts of the people."

This came after Rouhani's speech, during the cabinet meeting on Wednesday, about the reconciliation that Imam al-Hassan, the son of Imam Ali bin Abi Talib, concluded with Muawiyah bin Abi Sufyan, and was interpreted as an invitation from Rouhani to negotiate peace.
